Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection’s New Trailer is All About Story

August 17, 2015 by Stephen Daly

Naughty Dog discusses the new modes available in the game.

Sony has released a new trailer for Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection which focuses on the Uncharted trilogy's story.

On the PlayStation Blog Naughty Dog took the opportunity to provide new details about upgrades players can expect when they get their hands on the game which is being enhanced for PS4 by Bluepoint Games.

The Nathan Drake Collection features a new Photo Mode which allows you to capture the finist moments in the games, while there have been numerous improvements made to both lighting and sound.

Players can also unlock all new trophies and there are three new modes designed to welcome new players to the series and challenge veterans. The modes in question are:

  • Explorer Mode is an all-new mode for beginners where combat difficulty is reduced greatly.
  • Speed Run Mode adds a timer that allows players to track their gameplay time against their friends as they play sections of the game.
  • Brutal Difficulty Mode is the ultimate challenge as the gameplay will be more punishing than Crushing Difficulty (unlocked after beating Crushing Difficulty in the same game)

65 character skins are included, including Doughnut Drake, and, of course, access to Uncharted 4's multiplayer beta. Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection launches on October 7th in New Zealand, Australia, and continental Europe. The game will be released in Ireland, the UK, and North America on October 9th. A Special Edition including an artbook, steelbook, and stickers has also been announced for Europe.
