Eidos has shared new details on gameplay forDeus Ex Mankind Divided, starting with the confirmation of New Game Plus.
While Eidos couldn’t add such a mode in Deus Ex Human Revolution, they are taking time out to work on this game, and will make the mode about discovering the secrets and really getting the most out of the maps. They also acknowledge how highly fans demanded this.
UI customizable options will be more extensive, with the devs teasing things like scaling the UI elements, and switching from AR to a more traditional HUD theme.
Experience is being designed so that no gameplay style is favored, so combat is getting experience points as much as stealth or other options. Now, you get to decide what style is right for you.
Inventory management will definitely be back, as it forces the player to decide on their gameplay style.
Choices will have a deeper, more meaningful impact on the game, how it affects the story, limits your options, and decides your ending.
Smartvision will give you the ability to see where the loot is, a vital feature for completionists.
One fun and intuitive change involves raising up the gun. At a glance you can change bullet type, or upgrade with attachments like scopes or laser. You will be able to switch these around on the fly at any point in the game.
The cover system has been tweaked to the point where it can be used as a movement system. You can aim at empty space and go towards it, to move efficiently and safely.
A new augmentation called remote hacking will allow you to do a lot of the hacking from a distance. All of the hacking abilities you need to interface on, you can now do from afar.
Deus Ex Mankind Divided will be released on 2016 on Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
