Who ever said video games weren't educational? Retronator Pixel Art Academy is a game that aims to teach you about art directly from your browser.
Currently seeking funding on Kickstarter, Retronator puts you in the shoes of an art academy student who's studying pixel art. The idea is that as you take in-game classes, you'll learn how to create your own, and develop an appreciation of pixel art in existing titles at the same time.
Developed by pixel artist Matej 'Retro' Jan, the game has already well exceeded its modest funding goal of $1000 but there are still perks available if you're interested in the 16 days that are left. The game is designed to take up one year's work by his college students and all additional funding will be used to extend the life of the game and its classes well into the future.
