Gauntlet Slayer Edition Released for the PS4 with All New Features

August 12, 2015 by Ian Miles Cheong

Gauntlet got a major upgrade.

Gauntlet: Slayer Edition is now out on the PlayStation 4. You can pick it up on the PlayStation Network for $19.99.

For tnose not in the know, the game is based on one of the first multiplayer arcade games and serves as a great couch co-op game where players can select from four fantasy-based characters—Warrior, Wizard, Valkyrie and Elf—each offering a distinctive style of play and unique strengths and weaknesses.

In the enhanced version of the game, which was originally released for the PC, players can encounter new weapons and abilities, fight against new monster types, and play around with a host of new features that increase team dynamics and strategy, including spin attacks, shield throws, summoning, and magical abilities. There's also a new Endless gameplay mode for players who've gone through the whole campaign.

Also, players can participate in daily Colosseum challenges and mess around with character customization.

PC owners of the game on Steam have also received a free upgrade that adds all of the new content developed for the PS4 version to the game.

You can purchase it on the PS4 here.
