New video of Star Wars Battlefront’s aerial battles has surfaced online.
Of course, this comes straight from Gamescom, and is offscreen. The great thing about this is it gives us a better idea of what Gamescom attendees got to experience, aside from seeing the gameplay on its own.
Attendees got to play on PlayStation 4 consoles, with the consoles set next to each other, so they could actually feel each other’s physical presence, in contrast to the final product. The player we follow uses an X-Wing for his entire run, taking down TIE fighters and chasing after missions.
As such, Gamescom attendees got the best possible experience you could get with the game, and if it ever proves eSports worthy Battlefront players would play with similar setups as well.
The video also gives us a glimpse of the player’s thumbs mostly twiddling with the two analog sticks. We don’t know yet if DICE will retain the original analog controls from the first games, or perhaps used a system like in the Ace Combat series. Either way, it seems easy to pick up and play.
Star Wars Battlefront will be released on November 17, 2015 in North America, November 19, 2015 in Australia and November 20, 2015 in Europe for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
