Dragon Age Inquisition Plunges into the Deep Roads in New DLC

August 5, 2015 by Stephen Daly

The Descent launches on August 11th on all platforms.

BioWare has announced the next story DLC for Dragon Age Inquisition, The Descent.

As was widely expected following a series of teases by the developers in recent weeks, the DLC takes place in the dwarven-built Deep Roads.

Of course, the dwarves have been driven out of most of the Deep Roads by the darkspawn and the Inquisition will be up against the "ultimate horde" of the creatures. Naturally, an ancient evil which threatens to destroy the world lingers in the deep and only the Inquisitor can stop it.

Creative director Mike Laidlaw says the DLC will be available once you reach Skyhold and scales to your level, meaning it is not set after the event of the main story.

Content for The Descent is available anytime after you reach Skyhold and will scale across levels. It is not set post-game.

The DLC will launch on August 11th on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. EA Access members can avail of a 10% discount but for everyone else, it costs $14.99.
