While it's not quite space combat, Star Wars: Battlefront's aeriel combat mode, Fighter Squadron, may be the next best thing.
EA revealed the above trailer during their gamescom 2015 press conference today and the mode has plenty for fans of the series to be excited for, including some epic dogfights between X-Wings and TIE-Fighters.
Fighter Squadron also features Imperial Shuttles, Boba Fett's Slave I, and of course, the Millennium Falcon. In all, there will be twenty ships in action at any given time.
DICE stressed that these aren't space battles, with combat taking place above a planet's surface but still within the atmosphere.
Also at gamescom, DICE took time to explain why the game doesn't have a single player campaign.
Star Wars: Battlefront launches for PC, PS4, and Xbox One on November 17th.
