EA has released a teaser for Star Wars Battlefront's "Fighter Squadron" gameplay mode, which sees the game's two factions—the Rebel Alliance and the Imperials—go head to head in aerial dogfights. The full trailer will be out on August 5.
The game's developers at EA DICE have stated that while there will be no space dogfights in the game, meaning we won't see scenes like Luke Skywalker and his squadron of X-Wings take on Tie Fighters in an assault on the Death Star, the game will feature aerial dogfights that take place on planetary locations. Expect to fight in the skies of Hoth, Tatooine and Endor.
The game is set to feature a dedicated dogfight mode called Fighter Squadron, which joins the game's Blast mode, which was also recently announced. In Blast mode, battles play out on condensed versions of existing maps with up to 20 players.
Star Wars Battlefront comes out on November 17 for the PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
