NVIDIA Powers This Year’s International Dota 2 Championships

July 31, 2015 by Ian Miles Cheong

NVIDIA-powered gaming rigs are running the show.

NVIDIA has announced that their GeForce GTX GPUs and G-SYNC compatible monitors have been selected to be in the gaming platform of choice when the best eSports players from around the world compete against each other at the International Dota 2 Championships.

The annual tournament, now in its fifth year, boasts a prize pool of $17 million, the biggest in eSports history. It's anticipated that over 20 million viewers will tune in to watch the show. It's set to take place from August 3 to August 8, 2015 in Key Arena at the Seattle Center.

Valve has posted pictures of the setups that participating eSports athletes are currently practicing on. Each computer is stocked with an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980 Ti and G-SYNC monitors, all of which have been provided by NVIDIA.

If you're interested in following the event, you can check out the official YouTube channel where a number of the participating players have been interviewed.
