The historically-based management simulation game Tropico 5 will be coming to Xbox One in spring 2016, publisher Kalypso Media announced today.
While Tropico 5 has been available on Windows PC for over a year, and even on Xbox 360 since last November, Xbox One owners who pick up Tropico 5 next year will get access to a slew of packed-in content old and new. The Xbox One edition comes with the base game plus the Bayo del Ofato, Big Cheese, Mad World, Generalissimo, and Joint Venture DLC add-ons, the first expansion pack Waterborne, and five brand new, exclusive to Xbox One sandbox maps.
In Tropico 5 players will manage a colony of people through several historical eras, including the American colonial era, the World Wars, the Cold War, and present day. New to the fifth entry in the series, Tropico 5 also has support for up to four player multiplayer, through which players can work together to build and manage their land and people or try to destroy each other and reign supreme.
Gameranx gave Tropico 5 on PC a 7.5/10 praising its engaging city-building qualities and criticizing its lack of production value and improvements over previous installments in the series.
