Final Fantasy Explorers will be released in North America and Europe in January, 2016, Square Enix has announced, as reported by Siliconera.
The 3DS action RPG with Monster Hunter elements centers on cooperative play with friends. Explorers' party system allows players to master more than 20 new and existing jobs such as Knight, Monk, Black Mage, and White Mage. The aim of all of this is to defeat the strongest monsters out there and recruit them to use in battle.
You can use the powers of the eidolons, such as Ifrit and Bahamut, and transform into noted characters from other titles in the Final Fantasy series using the Trance ability.
The game's story is described as follows:
"The world is on the brink of war over its reserves of crystals, the planet’s chief source of power. Players must band together to form an elite squad of Explorers on an island rich in crystals, braving hordes of monsters in hopes of conquering a newly discovered Grand Crystal – every Explorer’s dream."
Final Fantasy Explorers is coming to North America on January 26th and will be available in Europe on January 29th, 2016 for Nintendo 3DS.
