Back in early March, we’d had the PlayStation 4’s global sales pegged at 20 million, with 1.7 million sold since the beginning of 2015. That’s a lot of people picking the PlayStation 4 as their platform of choice.
This latest update confirms that the first quarter of Sony Computer Entertainment’s 2015 fiscal year saw PlayStation 4 sales totaling 25.3 million worldwide, cementing the final figure at 2.4 million PS4s sold for Q1 2015.
Compared to Q1 2014, the first quarter of 2015 saw an increase in PlayStation 4 software and peripherals sales while the sales of PlayStation 3 software and peripherals took a dip. We’re guessing the downward trend for PS3 sales will continue as the year progresses.
