HBO’s The Last of Us series has been spoken about for quite some time now after first getting announced in 2020, and yet the one thing that has always been a mystery was the casting of its characters – how long did it take for them to reveal Pedro Pascal as Joel? Well, recently there has been a few pictures leaked from the set, and with them comes a glimpse of brothers Sam and Henry.
Images and videos were leaked and uploaded to Twitter that show the two brothers with the series protagonists, Joel, and Ellie. A TV series that has kept things close to its chest, this reveal has got fans wondering who will be portraying the brothers. Along with Pascal we know that Ellie will be portrayed by Game of Thrones actress Bella Ramsey, and the two of them are looking more like their game counterparts as the days go by – I’m not crying, you’re crying.
Those of you who are fans of the original game will know the tragic story of the hard on your luck brothers, their interaction with Joel and Ellie was subtle, nuanced, and packed full of emotion, so you’ll know what to expect when the TV show comes out next year
The Last of Us series is supposed to be released in 2023 and is already brimming with acting talent because along with Pascal and Ramsey we have Gabriel Luna as Joel’s brother Tommy, Anna Torv as Tess, and even voice actress from the game, Merle Dandridge, will be portraying her TV counterpart, who are among many others. As it stands, none of us know who will be portraying Sam and Henry, the pictures above don’t give too much information away apart from the obvious, so expect the fan theories and choices to come out in force.
