Capcom has revealed the box art for Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, and much like the game it'll soon be adorning, the cover is a tag team effort. Unable to settle on just one design, Capcom will instead be giving its fans a choice between two different illustrations by way of a reversible coversheet.
The first (and evidently default) option was done by in-house Capcom artist Shinkiro.
The second cover was drawn by Marvel Comics artist Mark Brooks, who's illustrated on high profile books for X-Men, Spider-Man, Young Avengers, and more.
I'd have to say I prefer Shinkiro's take on the game, but it's pretty darn clever of Capcom to tap into the art style of both universes like this. I only wish they'd gotten Rob Liefeld to handle things on the Marvel side. He's the only man in the world who could make Chris Redfield's biceps bigger than they already are.
If you'd like, you can head on over to Capcom's site and let the team know which artwork you like better, though the poll they're running is apparently just for bragging rights.
