SMITE Celebrates Its 10th Million Player With a Kevin Sorbo Voicepack for Hercules

July 24, 2015 by Ian Miles Cheong

Kevin Sorbo joins the cast of SMITE.

Hi-Rez Studios, the maker of the popular online brawler SMITE, is celebrating the game's 10 million uniques milestone with the release of a retro skin for Hercules called Retro Herc, which is based on the original character model from the game's early days.

The Hercules character will be unlocked for anyone who wins 10 PvP matches on the PC or Xbox One, along with the Retro Herc skin, and a new Hercules voice pack featuring none other than Kevin Sorbo, who played the character in Hercules: The Legendary Journeys on TV way back in the '90s.

The game will be showcased at Gamescom on August 5 to 9, where the studio also plans to unveil an all new game. If you're headed to Gamescom, check out Booth A-051 in Hall 9. If not, we'll get the scoop and tell you what they showed, anyway.
