It would be futile to argue that game soundtracks are getting better and better, as soundtracks have generally been one of the most defined qualities of games since time immemorial. Developers are, however, putting a lot more effort in music these days, by releasing accompanying soundtracks to go with their games.
Not one to be left behind, THQ has announced plans to release the official soundtrack for Relic's fantastic hack and slash/third person shooter Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine. The soundtrack will be available through digital download services like Amazon MP3, iTunes, and Spotify.
The game's music was composed by Sascha Dikicyan and Cris Velasco, who have had their work featured in the God of War series, Prototype, and Borderlands. They paired up for a number of games, including Quake II and Quake III Arena.
The Space Marine soundtrack will be available on September 20 through the aforementioned digital download services, as well as in retail. With any luck, we'll see it on Steam, too.
