Supernova, the multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) with hints of real-time strategy (RTS) from developer Primal and publisher Bandai Nacmo, entered closed beta today.
With the introduction of this closed beta, Supernova will also receive a new commander (their version of Dota 2’s “heroes) named Targon. Targon is described as an axe-wielding melee brawler who comes from a race of minotaur-like creatures called Aurocs from the planet Therion. Check out Targon’s full description below:
When the legion of Faceless captured the Aurocs as servants for the Faceless homeworld, Targon proved to be a vicious and brutal brawler that got the attention of the Pit Boss, who gave him the title of The Arena’s new Gaoler. After a riot ensued, Targon became a prime target for angry, escaped slave gladiators. Barely fleeing with his life, Targon bought passage on a mercenary ship headed to battle in a faraway system where the ship’s captain offered Targon a chance to be a soldier, which he immediately accepted.
Primal has also added five new commander skins, two new force skins, and new profile icons with the release of Supernova’s closed beta.
You can sign up for the beta on Supernova’s official website. Supernova was announced last February and will be officially released later this year on PC.
