Turn based 4X fantasy-strategy game Endless Legend has a new expansion on the way, Endless Legend: Shadows.
As the name suggests, the expansion places the focus on espionage gameplay and introduces a new faction called the Forgotten.
The Forgotten are experts in the new espionage skills, which enables play with invisible units using the Stealth and Espionage abilities. You'll be able to send invisible units to infiltrate your enmies in order to steal, sabotage, and capture.
These units and abilities will also allow players to pillage villages, extractors, and watchtowers to slow enemies, while special Scope accessories will enable them to use enhanced espionage abilities.
You'll also need to defend against enemy spies by developing counter-espionage abilities and the new Detection ability.
The official blurb reads, "Endless Legend: Shadows is a nightmare out of history. The Forgotten are a faction that all others thought to be lost or dead. Against their will, they were forged into a tight society of violent and distrustful survivors, having spent the final years of the cataclysm alone on the surface of Auriga. Now, as rifts in their society have led a splinter faction to declare its independence, the Forgotten are risking everything in the hopes that the other factions will accept them – or kneel before them."
Media attending gamescom next month will be able to go hands-on with the expansion but you'll be able to follow along on Amplitude Studios' social media channels.
