Spider-Man No Way Home was a movie that many were hyped for, and because of the teases of the multiverse, the return of fan-favorite villains, and of course, the “meeting” of the three Spider-Men, people couldn’t get enough of it. It is the first and only pandemic-era film to reach a billion dollars, and it very much deserves that reward given the very fun and deep movie that we got (even though the “Venom content” was totally bullcrap…). And now, Marvel is getting for its home release in a very fun and unique way.
Because instead of just dropping a special trailer for the movie, Marvel/Sony decided that they would go and drop the first ten minutes of the film online for everyone to view. Just in case you can’t recall what happened in the first ten minutes given what happened in the final 30+, it’s about Peter’s world getting rocked by the reveal of him being Spider-Man thanks to Mysterio. All the way up until Happy Hogan offers them his place to crash. You can check it out below:

So yeah, a very bold move, wouldn’t you say? But given that they no doubt KNOW that the movie is going to sell well (or drive up Disney+ subscriptions so people can watch it there), it’s not that surprising that they go this path.
The real question is what they’re going to do with Spider-Man next. Because if you recall the ending to the film, no one knows who Peter Parker is anymore, he’s lost everyone and now is going to have to win everyone back. There are rumors that a fourth MCU Spider-Man might be coming, but we haven’t gotten confirmation as of yet.
All in all, it’s an exciting time to be a Spider-Man fan between this and Across The Spider-Verse coming later this year.
