Tango Filmworks now has 18 job openings, seemingly gearing up for their next project.
The listings indicate that they want people with experience in Unreal. This may be an indication they want to work with standardized tools to avoid the pitfalls in the performance issues onThe Evil Within.
Outside of this, there are no hints on exactly what Tango is working on. While the end of The Evil Within opens up the possibility of a sequel, Tango could be working on completely something else.
Now, it may be interesting to look back and see that Tango had a Dune like sci fi project in the works prior to The Evil Within, called Noah. Noah would have been set in an open world, in a universe where humans have been colonizing different planets. Your task would have been to head a research group investigating a colony that’s lost contact.
Noah apparently put Tango into financial trouble, which set them towards the path to being purchased by Bethesda in the first place. Here and now, open world games have proven popular, however, so Bethesda may just be interested in bankrolling such a project now, especially knowing that Shinji Mikami’s name is behind it.
