Devil’s Third Dev Itagaki Says Game Is True Test Of Skill, Hopes Multiplayer Is Reviewed Fairly

July 19, 2015 by Ryan Parreno

Itagaki also says they will share gameplay footage from one of the game’s directors soon.

A few days after previews for Devil’s Third first came out, Itagaki has revealed what he thinks the problem is. Mainly, it’s a matter of gamer skill.

[ about previews ]Guys,At last, I was be able to understand about the reactions.Devil's Third is the game which reflects the player's skill directly/vividly.This is truth.

While his initial Facebook post is diplomatic in the matter, in follow up comments Itagaki complains that he could clearly see gamers were not playing skillfully. Itagaki also promises that there will be ‘genuine’ playing soon, with one of the game’s directors, Ehara.

Yes, it is also notable that Itagaki did not comment on people’s complains about Devil’s Third’s graphics. Give how he communicates on Facebook, either he does not see this for the issues gamers consider it to be, or he is willfully being silent on the matter.

Itagaki made another post a few hours later, stating that he felt his prior franchises, Dead or Alive and Ninja Gaiden, were treated like black sheep. He thinks Devil’s Third will be treated the same way and publicly hopes the people previewing his multiplayer demo will assess it fairly.

[chat]I wonder if it is OK about multi-player preview…As DOA and Ninja Gaiden were black sheep, this Devil's Third is so.I hope the every reviewer to be neutral, and struggle against my game.Best,
