Do you play Ghost Recon Phantoms? We have some unfortunate news that you will want to read.
It has come to light that the game deletes files in the same root directory as the game itself are being deleted by the game itself. If your files happen to have been placed in a sub folder, you can avoid those files getting deleted, but otherwise, those files may have already been deleted. The game deletes files every time the player enters a firing range or a match.
Unfortunately, nebulously, Ubisoft has revealed they know what the bug is, but still have not applied the fix. They devs state they are still working on the fix and won’t have it deployed until Monday.
As the fans point out, this situation is actually somewhat unacceptable, especially since they already made fans wait after a recent 17 hour maintenance period. The developers have not shared enough of an explanation of why the bug is even happening, and don’t seem to generally be taking the problems players face with the bug seriously enough.
If the bug is serious enough that a fix can’t be made immediately, Ubisoft should at least take it seriously enough to explain what is happening. Ghost Recon Phantoms is a F2P installment of the shooter IP, and it may not have the spotlight on it, but that does not mean it’s OK to treat its player so shabbily.
