Recent rumors have proven to be correct: Sony has confirmed that the next PlayStation State of Play stream will air this Wednesday, March 9. The stream will begin on Twitch and YouTube at 2 PM PST / 5 PM EST / 10 PM GMT, and will last for about 20 minutes.
According to Sony, the focus will be on “highlighting great games coming from some of our beloved Japanese publishers, though we’ll have a few updates from other developers located around the world, too.”
No PSVR 2 hardware or title updates will be featured in the upcoming State of Play. Many are hoping for an update from Square Enix on the state of Final Fantasy XVI–announced as a PlayStation 5 exclusive in 2020, a COVID-related slowdown has left fans starving for information.
A new PlayStation 5 hardware update is live today which will improve performance.
