Nova-111 has been announced by developer Funktronic and Curve Digital today, with the real-time and turn-based title launching in August for PC, PS3, PS4, PS Vita, and Xbox One. A Wii U version will be released at a later date.
The game is being made by former Q-Games devs Eddie Lee and Kalin, who previously worked on the PixelJunk franchise.
Players will need to make use of both turn-based strategy and real-time decisions to solve puzzles and fight enemies in the sci-fi themed adventure, which sees players pilot an orange ship through alien worlds as they battle strange creatures.
Lee commented: "With Nova-111, we really wanted to create a fresh spin on the turn-based strategy genre and we have been completely blown away by the support and reception that we have received so far. We can't wait to see what players think of our game."
While Funktronic is working on the game's Steam version, Curve Digital is bringing the port to consoles.
