Devil’s Third: Nintendo Of America Excited To Bring Game To Wii U

July 12, 2015 by Ryan Parreno

Nintendo’s statement contradicts earlier rumors regarding the game.

Nintendo of America has officially chimed in on Devil’s Third, contradicting earlier rumors regarding the game.

We know you are eager to hear more about Devil’s Third. We are excited to bring the game to Wii U and will have more to share soon.

In a tweet a few hours ago, they indicate that they aware gamers are very interested in learning more about the release, and will share more information later. They also obtuse language, saying that they can’t wait to bring the game to Wii U. Not surprisingly, Valhalla Game Studios shared this tweet on their Facebook page.

Earlier, rumors had spread that Nintendo of America had passed on publishing the game, with speculation that Nintendo Co Ltd in Japan and Nintendo of Europe were publishing the game to their regions out of obligation. Based on this rumor, Valhalla was looking for another publisher specifically in the US. The rumors even alleged that Nintendo of America had passed over the game due to quality issues.

Another source states that the game will be published in the US in partnership with XSEED. It’s not clear at the moment if this was confirmed by someone involved with the game, or is just speculation.

A few days before, Itagaki did respond to the rumors, essentially telling fans to believe him over other websites. While the radio silence regarding Devil’s Third has become frustrating to fans, it is most likely Nintendo and Valhalla were under NDA and not allowed to speak out this whole time.

Nintendo’s tweet was not a confirmation, but do you think they are publishing Devil’s Third for the US? Do you think they changed their plans, or was this the original intention all along? Share your thoughts with us in the comments.
