With the release of a new patch for the Xbox One version of Payday 2: Crimewave Edition, fans who purchased the game for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 have voiced their displeasure at the game's developers, Overkill, for failing to update the game on the older consoles.
The game has been poorly supported since its release on last-gen consoles, missing many promised features, including the Safehouse.
Responding to a complaint on Twitter, Overkill tweeted simply, "We're focusing on new gen dude." The tweet can be seen below:

The studio's flippant response drew further ire from customers already unhappy about the state of the game. Many players have taken to reddit's r/games subreddit to voice their complaints.
Owners of the game are now asking why Overkill would even bother to release the game for those platforms if they weren't planning to support them.
I've reached out to the developers to inquire as to whether they have any support plans for Payday 2 on older consoles.
