Zero Escape 3 Details Revealed; Preorders Open, 4infinityco Teaser Website Explained

We have new details on the long awaited Zero Escape 3, straight from the Aksys panel at Anime Expo.

Zero Escape 3 will take place at the Mars Mission Test site, and true to form, a group of people will be trapped within the site. The facility was established to test if a colony can be built on Mars. The community within, which includes a dog, is being tested in terms of psychology, logistics, and other ways.

And now, some rough news. Although 4infinity.co has been online for some time now, Aksys just started development, with only the scenario text for now. The following months will be spent adding in the puzzles that are characteristic of the series.

However, the wait seems to be worth it. Kazutaka Kodaka, director of the Danganronpa games, and a friend of Zero Escape’s creator, Kotaro Uchikoshi, was there with Uchikoshi. Kodaka stated that the ending is the most out of this world in the series, and really, really crazy. That is quite a statement coming from the director of the Danganronpa games.

Speaking of the teaser site, they explained 4infinity.co in the panel. 4 is a reference to Mars, the 4^th planet in the solar system. Infinity is a reference to time, apparently a motif for this game. The numbers and words that scrolled in the site are also all clues about the game. Aksys will keep the site up for at least a year more, so that fans can figure out each clue when it finally releases.

Finally, of course, what you see above is the first image of the game. No, they didn’t say who these characters are yet.

Zero Escape 3 has been confirmed for Vita and 3DS. You can now preorder the game on Amazon, for 3DS in the US.
