Bungie has finally revealed the contents of Destiny's third expansion pack, The Taken King.
The studio's community manager DeeJ disclosed what players will be able to get out of the expansion.
Players can expect to see a raised level cap, take on new competitive strikes, kill a new breed of enemies called the Taken, visit new places, and loot all new Exotic Weapons, Exotic Armor, and complete Exotic Questlines for high-end gear.
With the increased level cap, players will be able to earn new talents and also see upgrades and changes to existing Exotic gear. Players can also check out new subclasses with al new Supers and abilities for an even fresher experience.
In addition to all of that, players will be treated to a new narrative driven by cinematic cutscenes in a story that pits players against Oryx and his army of Taken.
The new location, called The Dreadnaught, is said to have a host of secrets, rituals and treasures to uncover.
New missions will come in the form of redesigned Strikes, including Dust Palace, Undying Mind, and Cerberus Vae III, all of which have been overrun by Taken. There's also a new six-player raid.
Finally, there are new additions to the PVP-oriented Crucible in the form of maps and modes, which include Mayhem and Rift.
