The 3DS is slated to become home for at least a dozen new great titles, among which is Kid Icarus: Uprising. With any luck, it'll be launched in the US and not neglected like so many Wii games.
Kid Icarus: Uprising, like its predecessor, will be a mixture of both air and ground combat, featuring Pit as he battles a variety of mythical monsters.
Yesterday's Nintendo presentation contained minutes of footage of various titles, including Kid Icarus: Uprising. Up to three minutes of gameplay footage was displayed at the event—which gives us a much deeper look at the game than we've ever seen before.
The title, exclusive to the Nintendo 3DS, has been long-awaited by fans since the release of Kid Icarus: Of Monsters and Myths in 1992. The game's protagonist, Pit, was expected to grace the platform this November in the United States, and in the first quarter of 2012 in Europe. However, it has since been delayed to 2012.
