Card Hunter, the insanely fun (I've played it) turn-based strategy game for browsers is making the leap to Steam as a downloadable client this month. Originally launched in 2013, the game has served over half a million players.
The game's developers at Blue Manchu are making it playable for both Mac and PC, and this new version of the game will connect directly to the same servers the current web-based game operates on, allowing players of all supporting platforms to play with each other.
Beyond releasing on Steam, the Expedition to the Sky Citadel expansion pack will be getting released on all platforms, including the PC and Mac Steam client. The expansion pack is set to offer new game mechanics, items, cards, a computerized GM, and cooperative multiplayer support in a new campaign. The game was previously PVP and single-player only.
