Sony is celebrating the fifth anniversary of PlayStation Plus's launch in Europe. The subscription service began on July 29th, 2010 and those who have been members since the beginning will be rewarded with a personalised commemorative plate showing specific achievements made during the first five years.
Since launch, 350 games have been made available for free to Plus subscribers across PS3, PS4, and PS Vita, Sony said in an update on the PlayStation Blog.
Those who are eligible should receive an email from Sony today, and will need to provide confirmation of their postal address to receive the plate.
The platform holder also noted that Plus is required for multiplayer on PS4, and revealed that 270 million hours have been spent playing FIFA 15 online, the equivalent of 181.2 million 90 minute matches.
Sony Europe community manager Fred Dutton has also confirmed that the Instant Game Collection will now be made available in the region on the first Tuesday of every month, the same day the North America store updates. Sony has to yet to confirm which games will be available for Plus members in July, but the games will go live on Tuesday, July 7th.
