Weekly Shonen Jump has shared even more details for Naruto Storm 4, and if you can believe it, there are even more unannounced characters that are coming to the game.
I think the genuine surprise here is the addition of Boruto and Sadara. Yes, the son of Naruto and Hinata, and the daughter of Sakura and Sasuke, respectively, are joining the game as playable characters, with their own combination jutsu.
Naruto Storm 4 is also picking up content from Naruto The Last, but it’s not as completist as everything else. The Last versions of Naruto and Sasuke will be playable, but Kakashi, Hinata, and Sakura will merely have alternate costumes.
Finally, we have the mother of all character reveals coming to the game, and perhaps the greatest. Kaguya Otsutsuki is one of the figures that created the Naruto world. If you didn’t know about all of this, take a few minutes to learn some deep Naruto lore here.
Kaguya was the matriarch of the Otsutsuki clan, the ancestor of all the ninja clans, and a onetime heroine turned tragic villain. She ate the chakra fruit of Shinju to attain god like powers and end the chaos of endless wars from another era. Now known as the Rabbit Goddess, she settled among humans and bore two sons, Hagoromo and Hamura.
However, Kaguya was corrupted from within, learning to distrust humans, and especially her own sons when they also manifested chakra powers. Now a demon, she incarnated with the Shinju to become the Ten-Tailed beast.
Hagoromo eventually defeated Ten-Tails, becoming the first jinchuriki, created the different and separated tailed beasts, and sealed his mother within himself. What Hagoromo would never know is that Kaguya would eventually return to the living world to menace Naruto and company in one of the series’ final battles.
