And there’ll be more. There are a total of 30 games in the collection, and they did not just get the games Rare made for Microsoft for Xbox and Xbox 360. The collection includes games Rare made for the NES and Nintendo 64, and even games they made for the ZX Spectrum when they went by a different name: Ultimate Play The Game, from even before they worked with Nintendo.
Interestingly, the reveal showed no games from Game Boy, Mega Drive, or Super Nintendo. It also had no games with characters owned by Nintendo, and no games with other licensees either. For all intents and purposes, this may be the most definitive collection of Rare games that you will ever get anywhere.
Rare Replay Collection will come bundled with 10,000 Gamerscore, and will be released this August 4. 30 games, representing 30 years, for $ 30.
