The Chinese Room's Everybody's Gone to the Rapture will launch exclusively on PlayStation 4 on August 11th in both North America and Europe, the developer confirmed today.
Inspired by the fiction of John Wyndham, J. G. Ballard, John Christopher, and other authors who write about "ordinary people in extraordinary circumstances," the game is set in the remote Yaughton Valley in June 1984, and follows the story of how people interact with each other after the end of the world.
Exploration is encouraged, for the more players interact the more they'll develop an understanding of the game and its story.
Will you be there when, "There are strange voices on the television and numbers on the phone; lights in the skies and electricity in the air. The end of the world is coming."
