Mirror’s Edge Catalyst information is starting to seep out slowly, with the game’s cover and a new prequel comic revealed.
The comic prequel series is called Mirror’s Edge Exordium, and it will be published by Dark Horse. The comic is also an in-house project at DICE, with narrative director Christofer Emgard playing writer, and art coming from DICE’s own in-house artists Emgard, Mattias Haggstrom, Robert Sammelin, Henrik Sahlström, and Erik Persson. As comic tie-ins to video games come ago, Mirror’s Edge Exordium is as legitimate as it gets. Issue 1 is releasing on September 9, which seems to be a good sign that the actual game isn’t coming out this year.
(Note: For those wondering, an exordium is an introduction or the introductory portion to an oration, such as a discourse or other formal speech.)
Amazon UK has also posted pictures of Mirror’s Edge Catalyst’s cover, which you can see along with the cover to issue 1 of Mirror’s Edge Exordium below. Electronic Arts is expected to unveil Mirror’s Edge Catalyst in their E3 presentation next week.
