If you're a player of Hearthstone, you're going to be in for a good time as an upcoming update for the game is set to add a new mode called Tavern Brawl, teased earlier this week. Just as well, players will now be able to pick additional alternate hero portraits for their classes. The first two classes to get alternate portraits are the Mage and Hunter classes. In addition, cardbacks can also be assigned to specific decks in your collection so you won't have to play with a single cardback.
In Tavern Brawl, players who have access to a level 20 hero will be able to participate in a head to head battle against other players with specific rule sets that alternate on a weekly basis. One week might see players competing with preset decks, while another week might involve the creation of a new Tavern Brawl deck that fits certain conditions (like buffs to specific minion types).
As for alternate hero portraits, the two characters being teased appear to be silhouettes of Medivh and Alleria, who are the Mage and Hunter, respectively. Magni Bronzebeard was previously added as an alternate hero portrait for the Warrior class, and is available from the in-game shop for $9.99. The new portraits are expected to cost just as much.
The Korean website of Hearthstone accidentally confirmed who the characters in the silhouettes are with the following text and cardback screenshot:

마그니 = Magni
메디브 = Medivh
