WRC 10 is coming to the Nintendo Switch on March 17 in Europe. American fans will have to wait until March 29. That’s a full six months after the game was released for PlayStation and Xbox consoles but Switch fans can rejoice because it is a fully-featured version of the game.
Nintendo Switch fans are unfortunately used to receiving subpar or cutdown ports of current-gen games. However, Nacon has confirmed that the Nintendo Switch version of the game will have (close to) feature parity with the other versions that were released last year. The only parts of the game which are confirmed to have been removed are the Esports and split-screen modes. While that’s not ideal, those are hardly the most important parts of the game, especially on a handheld.
WRC 10 on Switch will feature 120 stages, career mode, 14 rallies, 23 historical events, and “new historical cars”. The game will also receive post-launch support. Announced post-launch content includes online events, leaderboards, clubs system, co-driver, and online multiplayer. It should be noted that some of the online modes also did not come on day one with the PlayStation, Xbox, and PC versions of the game.
WRC 10 reviewed well when it was released back in September. Although the Switch ports of the previous games did not review as well as their PlayStation and Xbox counterparts. WRC 9 on Switch had an improved frame rate compared to the previous game but still suffered from quality issues related to bringing it to Nintendo’s console. Hopefully, Nacon has been able to improve upon the progress it has made to provide gamers with a high-quality rally game on the Nintendo Switch.
WRC 10 will release on Nintendo Switch on March 17 in Europe and March 29 in the US. The game is already available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
