Streum On has released a few new screenshots of its upcoming FPS adaptation of Games Workshop’s Space Hulk boardgame, known as Space Hulk: Deathwing, today.
The screenshots, which can be viewed below, showcase both character art, as well as gameplay from the first-person perspective.
In Space Hulk: Deathwing, players can either play alone or cooperatively with a squad of other players. The leader of said squad is known as a Librarian and can give commands to the squad and use powerful psychic abilities to aid the team. Every member of the squad must utilize their specialization to fight off swarms of Genestealers to progress through the game’s story. As players progress, they will earn Fervor Points, which can be spent on four different skill trees that can improve abilities, unlock new ones, as well as grant access to powerful relics and weapons.
Space Hulk: Deathwing was announced in 2013 and is coming to PC, PS4, and Xbox One in 2016. It will be developed by Streum On, known for E.Y.E.: Divine Cybermancy, using Unreal Engine 4 and co-produced by Focus Home Interactive and Cyanide Studio. Last February a new trailer was released featuring a soundtrack from band Kadebostany, performing their song “Walking with a Ghost.”
