Fans have found trademark and domain registrations for Mirror’s Edge Catalyst.
The trademark was filed by J A Kemp, who are known to represent EA. The domain name for the same name was filed last June 5.
This may be the first clue we have for the nextMirror’s Edge’s name, but EA has already shared a lot of details for the game, dating back to the last E3. The game has been reworked from the ground up, with a focus on the combat to match the refinement found in the parkour. Faith herself has been redesigned, with a new black, white and red costume. The whole game itself features a sparser, harsher design aesthetic.
We even know when EA plans to release the Mirror’s Edge game, thanks to their recent earnings call. It will be coming out before Titanfall 2, within the first quarter of 2016. Mirror’s Edge is expected to release for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows.
The other significant factor in this revelation, of course, is that Electronic Arts seems ready to reveal the game this E3, as highly speculated. Of course, these trademark filings frequently come up days before E3, as a matter of necessity.
