The developers of The Witcher 3 have published the partial patch notes for the game's upcoming 1.05 patch, which is due for release today on the PC. The patch will also be released as 1.04 on consoles.
Among many quest fixes, the patch is set to include a variety of bug fixes and user improvements to the GUI, camera smoothness, performance improvements, and general stability and performance improvements so the game won't crash as much as it often does.
The patch is also set to make it so that Geralt will no longer interact with light sources like candles and campfires near chests and other interactive elements, so you won't find yourself lighting candles on and off every time you try to pick something up.
Along with GUI improvements, the game will include new fonts and HUD elements to resolve its small, difficult-to-read text issues on some monitors.
Additionally, the patch will include a fix for the XP bug that came to light last week, allowing players to garner experience for quests without potentially losing out on them.
I've omitted the quest fixes the patch is set to bring so you won't have to worry about spoilers below.
- Geralt will no longer interact with candles near chests and other interactive element
- General stability and performance improvements
- Significantly Enlarged GUI and HUD elements (including fonts) on consoles and slightly on PC.
- Improved camera smoothness
- Performance improvements during some cutscenes
- Fixed case where game was crashing on loading a save in certain situations
- Various bug fixes and user experience improvements in GUI panels.
