Cyberpunk 2077 Mod Adds Functioning Metro

December 20, 2021 by Dennis Patrick

Take the NCART.

Cyberpunk 2077 was quickly one of the most anticipated video game releases of 2020. Fans waited years for this next RPG from CD Projekt Red. However, it took a pretty downward spiral when it did eventually release. We likely don’t have to explain the terrible launch the game had. With the number of bugs and technical problems, fans quickly were disappointed with the title. However, there is a ton of potential in modders’ eyes. While CD Projekt Red has been working on a series of updates for the title, modders are also lending a hand.

There are several mods available for Cyberpunk 2077, and likely there are plenty of others bringing content out in the future. Some modders bring out new UI’s, visuals, and even bug fixes. Others try to make the game more immersive. That’s exactly what this latest mod does as it brings in a functioning metro. You’ve likely seen the NCART stations surrounding the map if you played the game. However, you can’t actually get in anything to traverse the city. But that’s what this mod attempts to tackle.

The mod adds in the ability to get in an NCART at the different stations located around the map. Afterward, the player will be able to see where the NCARTs will take them. When you enter the NCART you’ll get to sit back and watch the city go about its day. There’s even the ability to go from a first-person perspective to a third-person. It’s just a small little addition to the game, but likely an area that helps make Night City a bit more immersive.

You can check out the mod from the source link below. Meanwhile, CD Projekt Red has not given up on this game. While Cyberpunk 2077 launched in a rough state, the developers have continued to bring out updates. These updates help fix bugs and even add new content to the game. Fortunately, we know that the major expansions are still coming out despite not knowing just what exactly they will include. That should give a reason for players to take another visit into the bustling Night City.
