The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has been available to the public for less than a week and already players have started to find exploits in the game that make things a little easier for your resident witcher.
YouTuber WhatsMyGame has uploaded a couple of videos that explain how you can take advantage of some exploits that will net you a serious amount of cash, or crowns in this case. In the first video, a strategy of killing two cows over and over again is used to acquire cow hides, which can then be sold for crows. To do this, the player must go to a particular spot detailed in the video that is accessible “early in the game” and kill two cows there. Then, the player must use the meditate feature for two hours and the cows will reappear ready to be slaughtered again. Repeat this process for as long as you like, but be warned that shopkeepers have a finite about of crows from which they can use to buy items from you.
The second video shows a much more efficient method of exploiting the game for in-game money by way of buying out a particular shopkeeper’s supply of seashells, dismantling those seashells into pearls at the armorer, buying all of the florens from another shopkeeper, and then selling all of your pearls to that same shopkeeper that he can afford to buy from you. His supply of florens will continually be restocked every time you exit his shop window and go back into it. Those florens can then be converted into crowns by a banker.
These exploits were done on a console version of the game, however. Your mileage may vary on PC, but there are easier ways than this to exploit the game on the PC through modding.
