Last month, Treyarch began teasing Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 in Black Ops 2, through an update to that game which introduced working Snapchat links.
In the above video, YouTuber NerosCinema asks where did all these teasers go? The last Snapchat was posted on April 22nd, the teasers introduced a 'Doctor Salem' but none of the official details or other teasers have revealed details about him. It looks like Dr. Salem is trying to help soldiers suffering from post traumatic stress disorder and it's made clear that some people have died as a result of the trials.
At present, it's not even clear whether these teasers offer hints about the game's campaign or Black Ops 3's zombies mode. Treyarch's marketing campaign ended quite abruptly with many unanswered questions remaining. As we get closer to launch, it's possible more details will be revealed about Dr. Salem, his activities, and how it all relates to Black Ops 3.
We do know Black Ops 3 is set in the future, in an era when soldiers have augments to enhance their abilities and players will be able to choose between a man or woman protagonist for the first time in campaign mode. Publisher Activision is set to reveal campaign gameplay footage at E3 on June 15th and multiplayer at gamescom in August.
Some fans recently managed to try the game's multiplayer, and revealed details about how it plays and its performance – the shooter is said to output at 60fps and 1080p on PS4 and 60fps and 4k on PC. Xbox One performance is not currently known.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 launches on November 6th, 2015 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
