Rockstar Games has shared some interesting details for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One owners who did not make the jump to PC for Grand Theft Auto 5.
They revealed in their latest Q&A Newswire that the Rockstar Editor will be coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Both consoles can’t actually fit the editor in exactly the same way that the PC version has it, but Rockstar is currently working on a special version just for these consoles.
Rockstar is also working on bringing Lab Radio Station to all four consoles. Unfortunately, they have already ruled out bringing Self Radio from PC to the consoles, explaining that none of the consoles are capable of hosting this feature. Rockstar asks fans to just stay tuned for more news on when the editor and radio station are coming to consoles.
They also revealed, no one has been banned for using single player modifications, and you should not worry about being banned or being relegated to the cheater pool just for using single player PC mods.
Rockstar addressed some interesting odds and ends as well. They are listening to fans who want support for peripherals like flight sticks and steering wheels on the PC version. They make no promises, but Rockstar is actually looking into making this possible. Of course, these controllers would be used to fly planes and drive vehicles, not for your regular character walking around.
Finally, it’s not clear how much support Rockstar will provide for this, but they tell fans who have Macs that they can run the game on their Macs using Boot Camp. If you would like to give this a try, you can get more details here.
Rockstar is also taking a stance on youtubers promoting GTA 5 money glitches & cheating.
"Just like our other long-standing rules about not posting pre-release leaked footage, spoilers or entire in-game television content episodes – anyone who posts videos that encourage and promote ways to cheat your way towards gaining illegitimate RP or counterfeit in-game money or duplicating in-game items without having earned them may have their videos flagged for takedown with YouTube."
