Paradox Interactive, the publisher of such titles like Pillars of Eternity and Cities Skylines has put out a trailer for their upcoming game Knights of Pen & Paper 2, a turn-based meta-RPG for the PC, iOS and Android devices this year.
The new trailer showcases a broad selection of in-game content in what the studio tongue-in-cheek brags about 1080p at 60fps. Viewers of the trailer will be treated to a "next-gen" retro style (it's just retro-style, there's nothing next-gen about it, in case you were wondering) world of Knights of Pen & Paper 2, which includs dynamci dungeons, customn-built encounters, new character options, and a bunch of other stuff.
The game is a sequel to Knights of Pen & Paper +1 Edition and is set for release on the PC and mobile platforms this May. Players will get to take on the role of players, and also master the game as the party's Game Master, designing encounters, rolling saves, and endlessly arguing at the full customizable party, which consists of virtual players who can be dressed in class-specific hats.
The game is a major upgrade over its predecessor, offering a new series of quests, dynamic dungeons, improved combat system, loot, and crafting mechanics.
