As previously reported, Star Wars Battlefront will not be using Battlefield's server browser and social network Battlelog. Instead, it'll be using as system very similar to Battlelog, but built from the ground-up for the game.
DICE confirmed that the developer Uprise, which was responsible for Battlelog, is designing an entirely new system from scratch for Star Wars Battlefront.
“The Uprise website mentions that Uprise is working on Star Wars Battlefront. While Uprise has been doing Battlelog, does that automatically mean that we will do Battlelog for Star Wars Battlefront?” said DICE producer Jasper Nielsen on NeoGAF
“No, it won’t. That can only be an assumption, and I can tell you, no, there won’t be Battlelog for Star Wars Battlefront.”
On Reddit, Uprise developer stated that the thing they are working on is being built from the ground up, and that unlike Battlelog, it will not require players to launch games from a browser.
Star Wars: Battlefront is slated for a November 17 release on the PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
