Warhammer 40,000: Regicide Gets a Cinematic Trailer

April 21, 2015 by Ian Miles Cheong

Who knew chess could be so intense?

A new trailer for Warhammer 40,000: Regicide has been released.

The game is a strategy game based on chess set in the Warhammer 40,000 Universe from Games Workshop and is an adaptation of the 'Regicide' boardgame described from the setting with similarities to the oldest game in the world, chess.

The game is a new take on the rules of traditional chess, offering players the ab ility to command different races with unique abilities, fight for varied game objectives, and call in strikes from off the board.

Players will be able to challenge opponents worldwide in both 'Regicide' and 'classic' matches online, with ELO-rated stats and several game modes.

The game will feature a full single-player campaign that will release in several acts throughout the game's Early Access period, eventually featuring 50 missions.

It kicks off on May 5, 2015 on Steam.

More details about the game can be found on its official site.
