Rockstar has shared the patch notes to Grand Theft Auto 5’s Patch 1.01 for PC.
First off, Rockstar immediately addressed the issue with Windows usernames. You should now be able to use any Windows username and play the game without any issues.
Aside from that, the biggest fix is on the GTA 5 launcher itself. The launcher used too much of the CPU, and sometimes it crashes as a result.
Other useful and prominent fixes are listed below:
The Rockstar Editor will now resume upload of your YouTube videos if you lose internet connection and get it back in the middle of uploading. If a project did have a deleted clip, it will now load properly, and the game will notify you something has been deleted. The game also used to crash when you used the Editor itself, and that has been fixed.
Removed that bug that required fans who were in the middle of transferring their GTA Online character to transfer it again.
Lastly, you will be happy to learn that this patch is preparing the PC version for compatibility with iFruit. This mobile app gives you access to Los Santos Customs, Chop the Dog, and most importantly, the game manual.
