Simply one day after a modder claimed that GTA 5 is unhackable, another modder managed to get in and access the game files.
No explanation was given on how he did it, but modder GooD-NTS shared screenshots to prove that he was able to get into the files.
GooD-NTS is from Russia, like ENBSeries / Boris, the modder from yesterday who said the game was unhackable. It is entirely possible that Boris got this far as well, but simply did not elaborate.
As these fans point out, it would actually be foolish for Rockstar to attempt to stop fans from doing this, at least as long as they don’t mess with the official servers. GTA 4 found a rabid online fanbase over modding, keeping it relevant for far longer than it should have been.
But that’s not all. Keilany, the modder who made ICEnhancer, has revealed that he is working on opening up the game’s code as well. This is his full statement:
We gotta see what the PC will offer, It might not require much editing in terms of shaders and stuff but mostly artistic changes to fit everyone's taste. Expect to see dark, unsaturated, shiny cars preset and oversaturated, matte cars presets, etc.
It's how things work, everyone have their own tastes. V is already pretty, soon we can make it prettier for our own vision. That's the magic of modding, make the game your own.
It seems that modding of GTA 5 really is just a matter of time. The question is, would you mod your PC GTA 5 game? Share your thoughts with us in the comments.
