Soma Enters Closed Beta, Looks Scarier Than Ever

April 15, 2015 by Ian Miles Cheong

Soma enters closed beta testing ahead of its release.

Soma, the horror game that takes place in an underwater science facility, has entered into closed beta, taking it closer to release.

The developers of Soma, Frictional Games, are well known for their development of Penumbra and the Amnesia series of horror games, and plan to continue their legacy with the sci-fi themed Soma.

The developer's latest post on their blog states that the game now contains all of the team's desired features, and that ther eare only "still a few bits of art, a few sounds etc. missing."

The team states that the game is "pretty much complete content wise," and is allowing 40 beta testers the chance to participate in the game's closed testing phase and offer feedback to the developers for them to throw in a coat of polish before declaring the game complete.

The announcement comes with a new screenshot showcasing a piece of handheld technology. You can see it above.
